薛求理，博士，四分之一世纪以来在中国和美国从事建筑设计和教育，曾在上海交通大学、香港大学、英国诺丁汉大学、美国德克萨斯州立大学等学校任职，目前任教于香港城市大学。设计过住宅、剧院、教学楼、商场、酒店、度假村、纪念馆和科技园等多种建筑形式，并承担在香港和内地的政府和私人项目顾问等。 1999年出版中英双语著作 《中国建筑实践》，2001年出版文集《思考建筑》，2006年推出英文著作《建造革命》。该书在海外广受好评。2007年出版 《全球化冲击：海外建筑设计在中国》。他的百余篇论文发表在亚欧美各洲的重要媒体上。其设计和论文在海内外多次获奖。
